How to arrive from SCL to Santiago!
Arturo Merino Benitez is the international and national (joined by a corridor) airport of Santiago and it´s found 26km from the city downtown. Despite its name and its official code SCL, many Chileans simply refer to it as “Pudahuel,” the townships in which it is located in the western edge of the city.
The ride from the airport to downtown could last from 15 minutes to 1 hour, depending the time that you arrive and which transportation you choose. The options are:
Taxi: a taxi stand is located outside the first level of the airport, adjacent to the international customs exit. Taxis are available here 24 hours a day year round. The maximum amount to pay a taxi driver is in between $23 and $31 for service to Santiago. The official number for taxis is +56 (2) 6901381.
Mini Van: Located at the national arrivals area. Private transport service with a maximum capacity of 12 people that takes passengers to their homes. Costs range between US$ 9 and 11 dollars. Companies?? TransVip and Delfos
Bus: Located in the national arrivals area you can find two companies that offers bus service to the city: Centropuerto and TurBus. Service that runs every 15 and 30 minutes and goes to the city center. There is a metro station stop called ‘Pajaritos’ for those who want to continue their journey to Viña del Mar / Valparaíso where you can take the bus. CostUS$ 4. More info? CentroPuerto and TurBus.
